Choosing a Tarot Deck
I just finished reading a wonderful article by Mark McElroy, author of many fine books on the practical used of Tarot and creator of the Bright Idea Deck. He gives sound advice on how to choose your first Tarot deck. It is probably one of the best articles I’ve ever read on the subject. If you are in the process of choosing a deck for yourself I highly recommend that you read it.
What do you want?
We’d like to know.
Really.
We want to know what your likes and dislikes are. Is there anything specific you’d like to see on the blog or website. We’re open to just about anything and would love to hear from people even if it’s just to say hello.
I can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to do something, but we’re certainly interested in hearing your views on Tarot and Tarot related subjects.
Hello!
Hi. My name is Paul. I’m the husband that Lisa talks about in her previous post. She’s the one that really does the tarot readings and the cards. I’m sort of the business person. I know I’m biased, but I really think she’s got a unique look at the tarot and having a business will really help her and help others.
In regards to the business, we really want you to be happy with anything you purchase from us. If you have any questions or comments or heavens forbid problems, please contact us first. We will do just about anything to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
As for the website, well it’s going to be a work in progress. We hope to have a rough framework up within a couple of weeks and then we’ll expand from there. We hope to make it a quite robust site that will keep you coming back over and over. Plus I know Lisa’s going to use this blog for different things, so don’t forget to keep checking the blog.
If you have any questions at all, please use the contact form in the sidebar to send me an email.
Business
My husband and I have decided it’s time to try something new. We are working on starting an online store to sell Tarot cards and related items. For now, we have some decks available on eBay, but the at some point we will be opening an online store.
Our goal is to offer Tarot decks and other supplies for a reasonable price with excellent customer service. One of the differences is we offer a money-back guarantee for everything you buy from us including decks. Many, if not all, other Tarot suppliers will do not offer refunds on opened Tarot decks – once you’ve opened it you own it and that’s it. I know from my own experience that there are Tarot decks I simply cannot work with, and you can’t really determine that till you’ve used them for a bit. So, if you ever purchase a deck from us, try it and find that it simply does not “speak” to you, you can rest assured that you can return to us for a full refund of your purchase price.
I hope to add bags, spread cloths, candles, crystals and lots of other things to the shop. Another idea I have is to work with local craftspeople to offer fine quality hand-made items that related to Tarot in some way. Perhaps boxes and shelves to store Tarot decks, incense burners, candle holders and just aesthetic pleasing decorations to help provide a desired reading ambiance.
For now, eBay will have to do. But I’m very excited about working on this business to make it grow.
